Oxford Child Development Centre - Out of School Care Rio Terrace Location
Rio Terrace Elementary School houses our Rio Terrace Out of School Care Location. This is one of Oxford’s three out-of-school care divisions. We are licensed to accept school children from six to twelve years of age. We are very close to public amenities such as Rio Terrace playground and spray park, and the Patricia Ravine Trail.
Rio OSC provides before and after school care on regular school days, as well as providing fun and exciting full day programming for PD Days, Summer Holidays and both Spring and Winter breaks.
We work diligently to create opportunities for the children to engage in creative activities and projects geared to the specific interests of the children in our program. In the summer we organize for the children to take field trips around the city and invite quality programs into our center to support the themes chosen by the children. We provide a morning and afternoon snack, outdoor play, reward days, summer field trips, and meaningful learning activities. We offer developmentally appropriate, open-ended experiences for children, and encourage them to make their own choices and decisions when appropriate to do so.
